Suisse Tumblr Theme

Live Preview

Suisse is a new, original Tumblr theme, ideal for posting your own content

Suisse uses columns to layout text and photos in a strikingly original design. Depending on the screen size, Suisse displays 1, 2 or 3 columns of text and 1 or 2 columns of photos and captions. Your posts will look amazing in this simple and bold original layout.

Quotes, videos and link posts are shown at the full width of the screen. Portrait photos can be shown by simply adding #tallpost to the post tags.

Suisse has custom options for fonts, header image, accent colour and the showing your avatar, avatar shape, title, description and the search box and ask page. You will be able to customise your tumblr to your requirements and still take advantage of the strong, clean look provided by this theme.

Suisse doesn't support photosets due to the layout so photos should be posted individually.

Please see the FAQ for instructions for installing and using the theme

There are some great tutorials on installing tumblr themes. Here's one, although there are plenty of others.

My theme hasn't installed/doesn't work

99% of the time this is due to not coping the code correctly. To load the theme.html file you need to use a HTML editor or a text editor that doesn't convert the code. Don't use Word or your browser. Notepad on Windows generally is ok. If you are using Textedit on a Mac - “Ignore rich text commands’ MUST be ticked when opening the file.

What should I choose in Advanced options?

Open Links in New Window - switch this off
Use Default Mobile Theme - switch this off
Truncate RSS Feed - switch this off
Promote Tumblr - switch this off
Preview - set this to Own Posts
Posts per Page - choose the number of posts to display per page
