Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack

NOT a bunch of random grungy halftones — the Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack contains a full-range of tint patterns, from light to dark, in smooth 10% increments (plus a 5% tint). With just the right amount of variability in the size and shape of the dots to give your artwork a more organic look — you can almost smell the ink!

Inspired by the beautifully irregular halftone screens from vintage posters, punk rock photocopies and comic books — we created the Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack. If you’d like to give your print or web artwork some real texture, our Tint Pack is just what the doctor ordered.

The Halftone Illustrator Tint Pack is comprised of seamlessly-tiled pattern swatches. Just open our file from the swatch panel in illustrator — then select them as you would any swatch. Because they're tiled, they will instantaneously fill your object; you will NEVER "run out" of background. And, our swatches are composed of patterns sufficiently big to avoid that "repeating" look.

• All vectors! • 20 seamlessly-tiled Illustrator repeat swatches • 10 densities (5–90%) • 28 lpi (lines per inch) at 0-degrees (Rotate and scale them to your heart’s desire, with no loss in quality.) • Two variations of each swatch are included: clear (CL) and opaque (OP)

I opened your Tint Pack for Illustrator files and they’re just blank pages. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing to worry about. They’re swatch libraries, so open them as shown here:

Sometimes when zooming-into or out-of your artwork in Illustrator, thin lines appear in parts of your design which contain tiled pattern swatches.

They can be straight-across or angled, depending upon whether you’ve rotated the fill.

Most of the time, these lines are artifacts resulting from how illustrator previews your file … meaning they’re not in your prints or exported artwork.

Occasionally these lines appear in exported rasterized artwork. Here’s what to do when that happens:
