Tips

To Scale a Pattern in AI:

Select desired pattern
Right click Transform Scale
Check Uniform (Scale desired %)
Uncheck Transform Objects
Check Transform Patterns
Check Preview
Click Ok

To Tile a Pattern in AI:

Select desired pattern
Alt + shift drag along the x or y axis

To Vectorize a Pattern in AI:

Either deselect everything and drag your desired pattern into the document from the swatches panel, or select a pattern already placed in the document and go to Object / Expand
