This greeting card illustration is one out of four famous Santa christmas cards published in 1912 by John Winsch, New York. All four portraits were far ahead of their time and blueprints for lots of later Sata illustration. Some people attribute these Santas to Samuel L. Schmucker (1879-1921), one of the best greeting card illustrators of it's time.
