Creative Inspiration: The Power of Books

Creative Inspiration: The Power of Books

Recently, the Creative Market team decided to start a book club. We'll announce more as we start to build out the book club, but we decided to start one simply because we all recognize the intense, strong power of books, as well as the impact of books on our lives.

I recently discovered a project by designer Mladen Penev called 'The Power of Books,' and I couldn't believe I had never seen or heard of it before. Here are some of the inspiring images from the collection:

My life without books would be a black hole of lost ideas.

I read constantly but I get a lot of inspiration listening to Audible books while I go on jogs. I listen to everything from science fiction to copywriting books. On a typical run I find myself stopping 2-3 times to write an idea down for later in my iPhones notepad.

Love the idea of a book club! Are you going to feature books on the blog regularly?

I've never seen graphics that illustrate the reading of a book more creatively! I'll be looking forward to what you folks come up with! I don't know where I'd be without books. They are such an important part of my life.

My whole life revolves around books. I began as a book designer and eventually began writing them. Two best sellers and one book award later, and after years of doing just about every job in the industry, I started a publishing company this year. I think these images are amazing, and I use creativemarket.com to find things for book designs. I like to share book related ideas and innovations here: http://www.scoop.it/t/relentlessly-creative-books. I could blather on, but the most important thing I have to say is that I'm looking for innovative books to publish and I love working with new authors.
