Adobe Creative Cloud Had a Bug — Do You Have It?

Kevin Whipps April 10, 2024 · 2 min read

If you’re an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber, and you have a Mac, you may have received an update from Adobe back on February 11th, or soon thereafter. If you did – and it was version 3.5.0.206 – then you have a bug, and it’s deleting files from your Mac. Don’t believe me? Watch this:

I found out because I have Backblaze, because I’m a crazy backup nut that has 20 different versions of everything. Backblaze discovered the Adobe bug, and they put out a blog post on the subject (their blog is pretty amazing if you like technical stuff), and offered a temporary fix.
Fortunately, since then Adobe pulled the update, and they’ve put out a new version – 3.5.1.209 – which came out on Valentine’s Day, naturally.
Point is, if you updated on or after the 11th and you’ve been having problems with your Mac, this may be the reason. Make sure to grab the new update ASAP to solve the issue.
