How to Design a Brand Identity: Visual Recap

Creative Market March 31, 2021 · 1 min read

Some time ago we shared a series of steps to build a visually strong brand identity. We also wrote an ebook to help you understand the basics of branding from different authors’ point of view. You can download the ebook here. Today we’re going to share some of the key steps and concepts involved in designing a brand identity in a single graphic that you can bookmark and refer to quickly. Since this graphic is based on our primer on Designing a Brand Identity, the definitions and process you’ll find below were first developed by our very own Gerren Lamson.

Extremely comprehensive take on branding. Really like the part that says 'brand is a living breathing thing that evolves as it interacts with customers'. So many brands shy away from experimenting. What they don't understand is that with time your target audiences' preference and perceptions change, and brands need to be in line with that to retain their loyalty. It's best to stick to your brand's true identity and objectives, while simultaneously experimenting to match audience expectations. 5 years ago
