Creative Market has hired Chuck Haycox<\/a> as our Customer Support Lead, which as you’ll see is a lucky coup indeed.
\nHe excels at putting thoughts into words, and is a lot of fun to talk to. Chuck comes armed with years of experience running online support. He worked with Ken, our Director of Support, for years at another company where he made Ken’s job easy and…well, redundant. Beyond being a talented bloke professionally, he also brings a classiness and fashion style that have been severely lacking, Darius Monsef. With that being said let’s hear from Chuck.<\/p>\n

<\/span>What’s your philosophy about helping customers?<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nI believe that humanity is the most important aspect of assisting customers. In a lot of Customer Support Departments, employees and management really lose sight of the fact that you are dealing with other people. When someone is experiencing an issue with a product, they expect assistance. That assistance should come with a level of empathy, respect, and attention that indicates you actually care about the issue. Here at Creative Market, we are really focusing on that and striving to deliver the best possible support.\n<\/p>\n

<\/span>What do you do for fun?<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nI love going to see live music. That is probably my number 1 “fun†activity. On the weekends, you can catch me at favorite venues like The Independent or The Fox Theatre taking in some awesome tunes with my lovely girlfriend.
\nI also love going to sports events. I’m a massive San Francisco Giants fan and get to about 20+ games a season.
\nI also love just sunbathing at Dolores Park with friends and beers – not too complicated \ud83d\ude42\n<\/p>\n

<\/span>Have you seen any products here on the site that you especially like?<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nI have seen a lot that I like on the site! It’s so great to be working for a company that supports such a great community of creative minds. I’m particularly impressed with MH Themes’ work. His commitment to providing functional and aesthetically-pleasing designs is very impressive.\n<\/p>\n

<\/span>What inspires you creatively?<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nI think that there are two things that inspire my creativity. Firstly, music inspires me to a huge extent. Specifically, electronic genre-killers like Flume, Ta-Ku, Kaytranada, and Ryan Hemsworth. These are the guys that really get my mind and spirit moving in a positive direction and allow for those epiphanic moments.
\nSecondly, and most importantly, the city that I love, the city that I was born and raised in – San Francisco – is where I derive my greatest inspiration. I often stand at the end of Pier 7 (just next to the Creative Market offices) and stare out into the Bay, observing the natural beauty around me with the salt-of-the-earth fishermen casting their lines into the water, hoping to steal a fish away from the playful seals.
\nThe confluence of the striking geographical landscape and the cosmopolitan movements and gasps of the city sparks the fire of creativity. In short, the musicality of San Francisco City Life is what really gets me going \ud83d\ude42\n<\/p>\n

<\/span>Any parting wisdom?<\/span><\/h2>\n
