Ever since 2017, you’ve been able to jump into your Instagram account and highlight the stories you’ve previously posted. But that’s not all. That highlighting allows you to create archives of small selections of your stories – as well as your favorite photos – which shoot right to the top of your page and stay there for all of your followers to see.
Think of it as pinning the content you most want your followers to see right where it’s going to be in their eyeline.

The problem is that these archives use the most recently added story as their cover icon, meaning you might end up with a “front page” of the archive that doesn’t really tell people what it’s about. Enter the Instagram story highlight cover – an icon you can place over each collection of stories to showcase whatever theme you attribute to your archive.

These IG highlight icons are about so much more than creating a pretty aesthetic – they make sure your story highlights are consistent and cohesive with everything else related to your business and brand. However, the design work that goes into creating these covers can be tricky, which is why you might want to get your hands on some pre-made and ready-to-use IG highlight icons from other talented designers.
That’s where these Instagram Highlight Icon sets from Creative Market shop owners come into play.
Each lends a cohesive look to your profile – that aligns with your brand’s aesthetic – so your profile is unmistakably “you” to anyone who checks it out. Once you’ve decided which highlight icons work best, go ahead and download our free Instagram grid – along with our moodboarding template – so you can customize your archive to suit the tastes of your audience.
The Brand Pub created Rose Gold Instagram Highlight Covers, a set of 35 rose gold colored covers for stories.
