To honor their life and work, Boston&#8217;s Museum of Fine Arts launched an exhibition titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.org\/exhibitions\/klimt-and-schiele-drawn\">Klimt and Schiele: Drawn<\/a>&#8221; this last summer. We recently learned that <a href=\"https:\/\/creativemarket.com\/brendanciecko\/7207-Secesja\">Secesja<\/a>, a font designed by shop owner Brendan Ciecko, was used in the exhibition&#8217;s signage, advertising, book, and more. The end result was stunning, and more than appropriate for an exhibit devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/creativemarket.com\/blog\/art-nouveau-design\/\">Art Nouveau<\/a>, Modernism, and&Acirc;&nbsp;The&Acirc;&nbsp;Vienna Secession Movement.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50702\" src=\"https:\/\/d3ui957tjb5bqd.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2018\/10\/17034601\/Secesja-Font-Klimt-Exhibit-MFA-Boston-5.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"848\">\n    <figure id=\"card-7207-660620900\" class=\"product-card full 1\" data-product-id=\"7207\" data-index=\"0\" data-width=\"full\" data-pin_it=\"1\" data-module=\"Product Embed\" data-block-id=\"660620900\"><\/figure>\n    \nThe&Acirc;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.org\">Museum of Fine Arts, Boston <\/a>is&Acirc;&nbsp;the fifth largest museum in the United States with one of the most comprehensive collections in the Americas. The font was used extensively for this exhibition, and even appeared on the museum&#8217;s majestic facade!\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50699\" src=\"https:\/\/d3ui957tjb5bqd.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2018\/10\/17034608\/Secesja-Font-Klimt-Exhibit-MFA-Boston-2.jpeg.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50700\" src=\"https:\/\/d3ui957tjb5bqd.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2018\/10\/17034613\/Secesja-Font-Klimt-Exhibit-MFA-Boston-3.jpeg.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\">\nUpon asking Brendan what inspired Seceseja, he explained that he is <em>&#8220;a huge fan of Art Nouveau of Central <\/em>Europe,<em> and specifically the aesthetic of the&Acirc;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vienna_Secession\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vienna Secession<\/a>&Acirc;&nbsp;and&Acirc;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Young_Poland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M&Aring;&sbquo;oda Polska<\/a>.&#8221;<\/em>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50698\" src=\"https:\/\/d3ui957tjb5bqd.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2018\/10\/17034618\/Secesja-Font-Klimt-Exhibit-MFA-Boston-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"609\" height=\"800\">\nBut his interest didn&#8217;t stop at a single font. Brendan Ciecko has now created a total of 8 fonts celebrating the era.
