Now in its second edition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Elements-User-Experience-User-Centered-Design\/dp\/0321683684\/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&amp;keywords=jjg+elements+of+user+experience&amp;qid=1628091613&amp;sr=8-1\"><em>Elements of UX<\/em><\/a> is a top reference for web and application designers, including those in the mobile space. JJG is a co-founder of Adaptive Path and has received a variety of awards for his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-communicating-design\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7_Communicating_Design\"><\/span>7. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oreilly.com\/library\/view\/communicating-design-developing\/9780131385399\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Communicating Design<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While other books focus on the process of design, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oreilly.com\/library\/view\/communicating-design-developing\/9780131385399\/\"><em>Communicating Design<\/em><\/a> is a comprehensive guide on the documentation that leads to great UX design. It explains concepts like content maps, wireframes, and sitemaps. Dan Brown is an information architect and author. According to David Panarelli, Director of Product Design here at Creative Market, &#8220;<span style=\"color: #1d1c1d;\">This is a great primer for overall UX documentation. Concept models, flow charts, usability test reports. Lots of helpful stuff.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-meeting-design\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"8_Meeting_Design\"><\/span>8.<a href=\"https:\/\/rosenfeldmedia.com\/books\/meeting-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Meeting Design<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This unusual book applies principles of design to business meetings, helping you make them more productive and successful. Meetings help give designers direction, and using <a href=\"https:\/\/rosenfeldmedia.com\/books\/meeting-design\/\"><em>Meeting Design<\/em><\/a>, you can help ensure it is the right direction. Kevin M. Hoffman founded Seven Heads Design and now teaches on meetings and collaboration in many regions of the world. David Panarelli says, &#8220;No matter what you&#8217;re doing as a designer, you&#8217;re probably going to have a lot of meetings. The book explores diversity, hiring, career development, and much more. The co-authors, Russ Unger and Chris Avore, are both highly experienced design leaders. According to David, &#8220;<span style=\"color: #1d1c1d; background-color: #f8f8f8;\">If someone is getting into a leadership role, this is an excellent book, specific to design <\/span>leadership.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-10-handbook-of-usability-testing\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"10_Handbook_of_Usability_Testing\"><\/span>10. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Handbook-Usability-Testing-Conduct-Effective\/dp\/0470185481\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Handbook of Usability Testing<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Handbook of Usability Testing: How to Plan, Design, and Conduct Effective Tests<\/em> gives you tools to improve your designs based on user and system feedback. It was co-authored by Jeffrey Rubin, a research consultant for over 30 years, and Dana Chisnell, an experienced independent researcher and the founder of UsabilityWorks. David shares, &#8220;<span style=\"color: #1d1c1d; background-color: #f8f8f8;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Handbook-Usability-Testing-Conduct-Effective\/dp\/0470185481\">This book<\/a> served me well in running usability tests. I used the <\/span>methodology<span style=\"color: #1d1c1d; background-color: #f8f8f8;\"> in this book as the framework for a series <\/span>of<span style=\"color: #1d1c1d; background-color: #f8f8f8;\"> tests for the National Science Foundation.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #1d1c1d; background-color: #f8f8f8;\">Nathan Ford, Director of Product at Creative Market, adds his thoughts on the next ten resources. It explains and simplifies the intricacies of human-centered design. It teaches you how to develop systems-thinking skills to solve problems ranging from global concerns to personal to business. Donella H.
