Hello! Please meet my new collection of Shibori tie-dye textures and patterns.
Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves tying or binding fabric and dyeing it in indigo.
To create this collection, I dyed a number of old t-shirts and other clothing using this traditional technique. I then scanned everything in small parts and combined them like a jigsaw puzzle in Photoshop. Then, to remove the mess of a texture that happened because of the puzzle, I blurred it out and worked long and hard on making all the textures look presentable by stamping and collaging the textures. After that, I picked some of the textures and created seamless patterns based on them. When all the work was done, I’ve added a new seamless texture on top so it wouldn’t look too blurry and low res. Please take a look at the previews and the full collection (link below) to see the end result. It took a good while to make it possible but I had a lot of fun working on this product. I hope you will like what I created!
