Moorgate brush script font

This is Moorgate a new 100% handmade brush script typeface, hand made with a real brush and ink pot. The font was mostly inspired by the hand drawn letters on the album Achtung Baby by U2. Made a big impression on me when it came out.

Click on the samples to see how all the characters look, as you can see the font looks best as a display face, at larger point size.

This font has alternative ligatures, the type preview window below never shows these properly. They make the font appear more realistic by switching out combination of letters.

Make sure you turn on discretionary ligatures

To make your writing look realistic please turn on discretionary ligatures in your application. Ask me if you are not sure.

Over 400 glyphs

In total, there are over 400 glyphs, uppercase, lowercase, numbers, punctuation and symbols. Included are support for Western, Central and South Eastern European characters.

TTF and OTF

The font has .otf and .ttf, plus it includes a web font version.

Just in case you are wondering, the font samples have texture added to them, this is not part of the final font—enjoy.

I created a quick video of the font in action https://vimeo.com/129302616 it's a bit moody but I like it.
