Big Sweetie - heart-filled font

Introducing a handwritten serif font that's all about the love: Big Sweetie!

Big Sweetie is a pair of fonts in one: the standard alphabet is hollowed out and filled with a scattered pattern of hearts and polka dots, and a full set of stylistic alternate letters are solid and filled with the same hearts and dots! UPDATE: The alternate alphabet also now lives in its own font file, so you're truly getting two fonts for one!

Big Sweetie also includes a variety of smaller catchwords, including: the, and, or, for, from, with, of, by, and many others. All 16 catchwords appear in both hollow and solid versions! (And also now come in their own separate font file!)

As with all of my fonts, this one includes tons of punctuation, and over 200 accented characters for multiple language support: English, French, Spanish, German, Polish, Romanian, Portuguese, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Esperanto, Czech, Dutch, Welsh, Filipino, Turkish, and more.

Big Sweetie includes:

  • Both OTF and TTF file formats
  • Over 420 glyphs total
  • Over 200 accented characters in each for multiple language support
  • Stylistic alternates for A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and ?!,. encoded in the main font file
  • The entire alternate alphabet, with punctuation, numbers, and over 200 accented characters in the alternate filled-in style, all in a separate font file
  • 16 small catchwords in both hollow and solid versions (as alternates in the main file, and also as their own font file)
  • Fully PUA encoded for easy character map access

The main font file contains OpenType features (alternate characters & extras). In order to use these alternates, you need to install the OTF version of the font, and your software needs to be able to access OpenType features.

Some programs have OpenType feature access built in (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, CorelDraw, QuarkXpress 7+, and more). Many other programs that support Unicode will allow you to import OpenType alternates by copying them from Character Map (PC) or Font Book (Mac) and pasting them into your program.

If your software isn't friendly to OpenType features, or you need to use the TTF versions, fear not! The alternate alphabet has been separated out into its own "Big-Sweetie-Alternates" file. Plus, the wee catchwords are in their own separate file, too!
