Q: I'm trying to make an animation with an image for a background. But half way into the video, the background disappears. How do I make the background appear consistently from beginning to end?

A: In the timeline, you need to adjust the duration of the layer display with your background.
Instruction here

Q: Is it possible to make the mug turn the opposite way?

A: You can use a tool Image - Image rotation - Flip canvas horizontal. But then you have to do the same with the design that you insert into the smart object.
Instruction here -

Q: For speed I actually want it slightly slower so people can read what is on it easier.

A: Ok, first you should

1) export the video with your animation ( ),

2) then import the video in PS, convert your animation ( ),

3) delete the video group (in the bottom of your document),

4) then make frames from clips ( ),

5) then convert to frame animation ( )

6) and finaly, you should select all frames ( ) and then right mouse button on any frame time (like 0.03) and you can set your own time, (like 0,06) ( ) and your animation become slower.
