Australia Geo Shapes Vector Maps

Scalable vector maps of Australia (AUS) and its 11 administrative divisions (states and territories) called units in this product. The country and units maps are rendered using the EPSG:3112 map projection.

All vector files (SVG) are named and editable and can be resized without loss of detail. The dimensions of the vector graphics are based on the geographical area of the depicted shape in the used map projection. All shapes have the fill color black. The fill color can be easily changed or removed in a vector graphics editor like Inkscape.

The country shape is contained in a group of one path object in the country.svg file. The units are contained in a group of multiple path objects in the units.svg file, where each unit has a white stroke of 1px, which can be changed or removed in an editor. In the individual units files each unit is contained in a group of one path object.

The country.svg and units.svg vectors are available in 3 resolutions as SVG files.

• High resolution maps showing the most detail are in the large directory. They are suitable for display on the web or to be printed on large wall posters.
• Medium resolution maps are in the medium directory. They are suitable for tabloid sized prints or t-shirts.
• Small resolution maps are in the small directory. They are suitable for print on mugs and postcards.

Files included: For each resolution there is one country.svg and one units.svg and 11 vector graphics for the individual units, i.e. 13 SVG files. In addition, there is one CSV file with one row for each unit and the columns name, postal, fips, and file_name. The postal codes and FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) codes identify a unit.
