Karere - Handwritten Tribal Font
About
Karere is a hand-drawn tribal display font with an authentic hand-drawn feel. It has swirly spirals, wobbly hand-lettered edges, and a carved-into-driftwood feel, that is inspired by Polynesian tattoos, surf shack signs, and old travel postcards. If your project needs to feel sun-bleached, adventurous, and a little bit wild, this is your font.
You get two styles in one pack: Regular for a clean(ish) hand-drawn look, and Rough with a stamped, textured, inky edge for when you want it to look like it was printed on a tiki bar menu in 1972.
What's inside: • Karere Regular (OTF) • Karere Rough (OTF) • Uppercase & lowercase letters • Numerals & punctuation • Stylistic alternates (long swooping R and E tails!) • Accented characters for multilingual text • Works in Canva (instruction on how to access ligatures and stylistic alternates is included in the download)
Perfect for: • Surf, beach & island branding • Tiki bar menus, craft beer & kombucha labels • Travel posters, postcards & adventure logos • Tattoo studio & apparel designs • Summer camp, festival & outdoor event flyers • Eco / handmade product packaging • Instagram quotes, stickers & t-shirt prints
