What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. About

Antypica is a soft and friendly slab-serif font that draws inspiration from typewriter styles. This font is designed to be easily legible in both small and large sizes, making it a great option for various applications. Its simple yet timeless design with a modern twist makes it perfect for use in a wide range of design projects. This includes package design, ad campaigns, brand identities, movie titles, poster art, booklets, and even classified documents.

With an impressive 790 glyph count, Antypica supports Basic Latin and Latin Extended-A. OpenType features further enhance typography by providing Small Caps and Small Numbers, Lining Figures, Oldstyle Figures, Superscripts, and Subscripts, Fractions, Tabular Lining Figures, Tabular Oldstyle Figures, Ligatures, and Contextual Alternates to prevent some unwanted letter pair collisions.

Additionally, Stylistic Sets offer Stylistic Alternate Lowercase a, Alternate Cap T, Alternate Dollar Sign, and Slanted Hyphen to add calligraphic quality to text blocks, while the Special Set offers unique glyphs like Bitcoin and Interrobang.

Antypica is highly versatile and can be used in many design applications. Small Caps and Small Numbers can be used creatively to create more visually engaging typography, and the optimized underline effect can be used to enhance the design.

To access the Special Set in OpenType features, select it from the OpenType menu. To add special additional marks, type following in your text field.

For the Exclam-Comma mark, type ” ,! ” (comma+exclam)
For the Question-Comma mark, type ” ,? ” (comma+question)
For the Bitcoin mark, simply type " bitcoin " (not case sensitive).
For the alternate (Cap Height) Registered mark, type " registered " (not case sensitive).
For the Published mark, type " published " (not case sensitive). The font also has a small caps version of the Published Mark.
For the Numero mark, type " N° " (N + degree) (case sensitive).
For the Interrobang, type " bang " (not case sensitive).
For Price marking, type ” ,– ” (comma + one of these: hyphen, en dash, em dash).
For Dot(s) Pattern glyph, type " dots " (not case sensitive).
For Line(s) Pattern glyph, type " lines " (not case sensitive).

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
