Organic Hand Painted Font

Magnifique Surréalisme is a handwritten font inspired by the strange and wonderful ways people write. :) We love the imperfections of handwriting, and the fact that no two letters are ever quite the same.

We drew every letter by hand and spent a looot of time experimenting with different shapes. Some letters turned out quite unusual, and we decided to keep them that way. After all, that's what we love about handwriting. It doesn't need to be perfectly consistent to look beautiful.

One of our favorite things about Magnifique Surréalisme is the number of alternatives. There are plenty of different versions of each letter, so you can mix them, change the rhythm of a word, and play around with different options.

The result is playful, a little unconventional, and very human. It has something of an artist's handwriting about it, and we think it works especially well for projects where a personal, handmade feel matters.

We made Magnifique Surréalisme with artists, designers, illustrators, and independent creators in mind.

A note about the alternates:

Magnifique Surréalisme includes a generous collection of alternate letterforms. You can choose different versions of the same character to create your own combinations and give each word a slightly different look. To access and select individual alternatives, you'll need design software that supports OpenType features or a Glyphs panel.
