About Creative Market Fonts

Fonts are at the heart of Creative Market. Here you’ll find more than %totalResults% typefaces, each created by independent artists from around the world. Why do fonts matter? We believe that fonts have the capacity to tell a story, communicate ideas , stir emotion , and express intent. When you choose a font you’re not just choosing letters on a screen, you’re choosing from thousands of voices, styles, moods, and perspectives. Our catalog covers a wide stylistic range. Need a retro pixel vibe for your throwback design? Maybe you found our site looking for a sleek variable font to adapt seamlessly across devices. Perhaps a display font for your new site header? Whatever it is, we’ve got you covered. Our library includes everything from expressive scripts to no-nonsense monospaced families. We pride ourselves on unique, thoughtful design of every kind, which is how we’ve become the go-to destination for unique font families. If you aren’t sure where to start, check out some of our handpicked curated finds or best sellers .

What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. However, this is a nuanced topic - with a rich history, a range of opinions, and many different approaches. For a more detailed breakdown, check out our blog on different font styles here .

What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. For a fuller, more nuanced take (or if you just want to nerd out) you can check out a whole article about this topic here: What is a Typeface and How Is it Different from a Font?

What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. Our e-pub licenses are best for ebooks and digital magazines - where you would want to embed the fonts directly into your files. Here’s a helpful walk through on font use in e-books! Creative Market also offers Worry-Free font licensing for enterprise clients. Learn more about our enterprise business offerings here . Still have questions about our licenses? Get more information about all of our font licenses here . You can also chat with our licensing assistant, Creative Mark, who can help answer questions. You can knock on his door in the bottom right corner of your desktop screen.

About

Meet Frankie, a hand-drawn decorative serif inspired by the ordinary moments that become our favorite memories.

Warm afternoons. Faded denim. Picking flowers in the neighbors yard. The apartment that somehow always felt like home even when you barely noticed it between 3 different shifts at your first day jobs.

Frankie never cleaned her apartment. There were always flowers in empty bottles on the windowsill. Leftover birthday cake on the counter. Records on the floor with the empty wine bottles. Somebody else's sweatshirt hanging over the back of a chair. She's the girl who could never remember your name the next morning. But you always remembered hers.

Just like all our atmospheric fonts, this one brings you back to a place and time of unforgettable young adulthood. The ones filled with late nights, slow afternoon wake up calls, and fast fleeting moments you sink back into years later as they linger on and pull you back into a trance like a fever dream.

She features playful curls like the unfurling of a girl becoming a woman and organic softened edges like beautiful imperfections that surface with the slow touch of time.

Frankie's aesthetic feels equally at home on a bottle of natural wine, a surf magazine, a favorite café cup, denim labels, clean skincare packaging, nonfiction book covers, hand made ceramics, indie clothing brands, or anything looking for typography that carries as much atmosphere as it does personality.
