Mokume - ink textured brushwork
About
Mokume is a collection of textured ink brushwork exploring the raw materiality of ink on paper.
Mokume celebrates the character of the medium itself - dry brush textures that catch and skip, woodcut-inspired patterns, intentional ink smudges, and gestural strokes that exist as art objects on their own. Each element carries the visible friction of brush meeting paper: the scratchy quality of sumi ink running dry, the carved roughness of wood block printing, the organic unpredictability of hand-drawn lines. Mokume offers tactile imperfection and material presence.
All elements are 100% human-made, created through a traditional creative process - no AI used
