Onyx Rebel — Modern Blackletter Font
About
Give your next headline a sharper voice. Onyx Rebel is a modern blackletter display font built around broken arches, angled nib strokes, slanted counters and diamond terminals. Its compact lowercase rhythm brings a distinct calligraphic character to streetwear graphics, record artwork and event identities, while expressive capitals give short titles a bold presence.
Use the default capitals for clear graphic headlines or switch to 26 alternate capitals with larger nib terminals, changed bowl shoulders and selective curved flourishes. The alternates are accessible through OpenType ss01 and salt or their PUA assignments. Every alphabet was drawn with native vector contours, with genuine lowercase forms and purpose-drawn numerals.
