About
Warthog portrait in black and white facing the camera at a low level with a clean dark background. Phacochoerus africanus. This Warthog gave me the opportunity to go down low to get a more eye level perspective showing the viewer how it is actually seeing the world. The late afternoon sun illuminated its face for a moment giving me the opportunity to use it for emphasising the focal point in the image. With a darker background the image became even stronger. I converted the image into black and white to show the textures and shape of this stunning animal.
