Foxed & Inked - 1950's Script Type
About
Meet Foxed & Inked, an authentic 1950s-inspired script typeface revived from the golden age of hand-painted advertising. Restored directly from historical lettering books, this expressive font captures the unmistakable character of vintage brush-pen lettering—bold strokes, natural curves, lively connections, and all the charming imperfections that made mid-century typography feel so human.
Foxed & Inked brings instant nostalgia to every word. Its confident, hand-drawn personality feels equally at home on an old roadside diner sign, a classic soda advertisement, a retro product label, or a playful modern brand looking for genuine vintage character. The letterforms feel energetic and spontaneous while remaining polished enough for professional design work.
Use it to create attention-grabbing logos, restaurant branding, packaging, posters, menus, apparel, advertisements, social media graphics, merchandise, invitations, editorial layouts, and more. Whether you are recreating the cheerful optimism of 1950s America or adding a handcrafted retro twist to a contemporary project, Foxed & Inked delivers the warmth and authenticity of real historical lettering.
Perfect for designers, illustrators, crafters, small businesses, and vintage enthusiasts, Foxed & Inked transforms ordinary words into expressive pieces of hand-lettered art.
Give your next design the unmistakable confidence of a brush, the charm of a forgotten advertisement, and the beautifully aged personality of Foxed & Inked.
