About

The inspiration comes from some old documents and store signs from my great-grandfather's old gold listfactory from 1838. He delivered hits for many artists of that time, and various museums in Copenhagen. I priority increases to make a mixture of the classic letter witha modern lift. And this contain also a serif og display version.

Seems it was interesting to try to reproduce some of the old characters and make a new font. Uppercase “G” was the first letter of the startingpoint. G stands for in danish “Guldramme”, which means “Goldframe”. Arkibal is coming from an almost old danish tradional name "Arkibald", only without "d".

It has taken over a year to design this font.

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
