Jackerton Font Family
About
Jackerton just got lighter—and brought some friends.
Jackerton is a playful display font inspired by my father’s doodles. Every word is a puzzle, with letters changing and shifting as you type.
Now available in Thin, Extra Light, Light, and Regular, Jackerton 3.0 gives you more ways to shape that personality. The variable font lets you fine-tune the weight anywhere from Thin to Regular, while companion doodles bring matching illustrations, shapes, and expressions to your designs.
Let Your Words Build Themselves
Turn on Standard Ligatures and Jackerton automatically combines letters into expressive arrangements. Its distinctive lettering happens as you type, making it easy to explore words, names, and headlines.
Use it for playful branding, book covers, packaging, posters, apparel, and projects that could use a little personality.

More Ways to Make It Yours
Jackerton includes over 2,700 glyphs, with alternate letterforms, ligatures, and extended Latin characters.
Try capital letters inside a word to change its arrangement—for example, Commander becomes ComMandEr. For more control, explore the four Word Variation sets or assemble custom combinations in your application’s Glyphs panel.
Before You Start
Jackerton’s automatic lettering requires an application that supports OpenType Standard Ligatures. Keep ligatures enabled and tracking or letter spacing at 0.
Word Variation sets require Stylistic Sets controls, available in applications such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
Adjusting Jackerton Variable requires an application with variable-font weight controls. The static fonts do not require these controls.
For Canva, the Regular OTF can be uploaded using an account that supports custom font uploads. Follow the included guide for ligature settings and customization.
If you have questions or find a letter combination that needs attention, please send me the word and the application you’re using.
Thanks, Joshua
