What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. About

Evanston Tavern is the refined sans-serif version to Evanston Alehouse. Inspired by the years that prefaced the ratification of the 18th amendment, this typeface mimics the signage commonly seen outside of saloons, taverns and alehouses.

Back to the modern era, Evanston Tavern is more than just a vintage inspired typeface. It works in modern and futuristic settings as a square sans-serif with multiple styles, opentype alternatives and ornamentation. The family provides a robust 61 total fonts, within it's 3 styles of regular, stencil and inline. Each sub family includes 4 weights as well as 5 widths. It has special features that add depth to the font, with discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternatives. It also includes a complimentary set of ornaments, including a vintage graphic set from the era, as well as modern frames, borders and icons.

Bought this font for two reasons. We needed an UPPER CASE stencil format for the signage in our cafe in Santa Barbara California, located near the carriage house at Hideaway SB. It has the strength and style we've been looking for. The other reason we purchased it, is that it makes us want to drink beer. Well, beer for some of us, prosecco for others. Great font. Nice work and attention to detail.

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
