What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. Rickey Rocket Font is a fun space font for all your outer space themed craft projects! Easy to use and super quick to create your own 'named' rockets and space scenes. Includes rocket parts and extra space icons.

I created this Rocket Font so people can create rockets that include children's names within them. It's a quick and easy tool to build space scenes using the extra space symbols and include your named rocket surrounded by stars, planets or perhaps an alien?

This rocket font looks great on mugs, tumblers, t-shirts, hats, tote bags ...and everything else! The perfect space font to use for children's invitations, greeting cards and birthday celebration paraphernalia.

A super fun and easy to use space cartoon font, it's great for all those comic book style designs!

HOW TO USE RICKY ROCKET FONT Simply use the Ricky Rocket font UPPERCASE characters to create the rocket flame, thruster, wings and nose and use the lowercase letters for any name or word you want to insert as the rocket body. Use the key below or follow these instructions...

First use the uppercase characters A-E to create a rocket flame. Then, use F-J for the rocket thruster section. K-O can be used as extra body sections or to break up words. P-T are wings which will need to be repositioned or have kerning altered to let the letters run smoothly. Finally, use U-Z for the rocket nose.

Fun, bold and perfect for space aged cartoon style designs. Ricky Rocket font is great as a boys font ...and a girls font, or just as a great kids space themed font.

As a decorative, display space font we do not recommend using RICKY ROCKET FONT for large paragraphs of text. We suggest using this rocket font for names, headlines and titles.

This space font is easy to cut with simple nodes for those using craft software.

Ricky Rocket Font is supplied as OTF, TTF and WOFF files.

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
