The mockup base is only one layer. You can not edit out the side pages for inside cover. Expected more flexibility for $20.
Excellent, found it very easy to use and the texture comes across nicely. Depending on what kind of colors/images are on the page, you can adjust the opacity of the different highlights/shadow layers to give it that real printed look. I had almost given up trying to find a good 8.5x11" spread mockup, it's a rare dimension for these type of mocks!
Awh, that makes me so glad to hear, Ryan. Thank you so much for being so kind to leave that print here. And yeah, I feel you, I couldn't find what I was looking for when searching for a mockup years ago. And that's really the whole beginning of the creation of this one. :) Thanks again — I'm so glad it could benefit you.
Beautiful mockup! I am only docking a single star because I find when you used colored photos (vs black & white) it does not look as realistic. It could be a matter of needing to adjust the overlay layers, I'm not sure? I also would have liked an option for a lighter colored background - you can add an overlay but it doesn't look as realistic. But overall this is a beautiful mockup, incredibly unique and editorial looking, and I am excited to use it!
Hi Courtney, I'm really sorry for the late reply. I’ve been moving and have a 3-month-old little one at home. :) Thank you so much for your kind review! Yes, you’re absolutely right, the adjustment of the overlay layers is what will determine if the result looks realistic or not. Please let me know if you would like some assistance. You can send me an email at hello@madleennilsson.com, and I would love to help you! Yes, I also feel you with the background color. I would have loved for the mockup to work with any colored background. But I didn’t find a way to make that work and still keep the high quality of realism. Therefore it was important to me that it’s clear in the description that the mockup only comes with two alternative backgrounds — Black & Stone. I don’t want anyone to feel they’ve been fooled. :)
