Whether it is the history, the structure, or the colorways...there’s just something appealing about a good Tartan or Plaid. MFC MyTartanPlaid helps you easily create an array of pattern styles as quickly as you can design or lay down a few stripes. Once you get the hang of the few simple steps (which should be super fast) you’ll breeze through the process and create tons of patterns in no time. Whether for work or play, experiment and have fun with it. You’ll find creating Tartans & Plaids can be quite addicting.

Here’s what’s included in this pack:

• MFC MyTartanPlaid as a Photoshop file with smart layers in square format: 12x12 in, 300 dpi
• 45 editable digital patterns included in the Photoshop file
• PNG-24 versions of all included patterns for quick use

(no product mockups are included in this kit, only the kit to create your own patterns and a collection of pre-made pattern designs)

Here's how it works:

1. Open the smart PSD file and double click on the "SET STRIPE DESIGN" smart layer.
2. Create your stripe design using the Rectangle Tool (U).
3. Save and close the smart layer document.
4. Toggle between the auto-compiled options. (Heavy Diagonal Lines, Heavy Diagonal Lines 4-up, Fine Diagonal Lines, Fine Diagonal Lines 4-up)

To inspire you, we’ve included in the smart layer document where you create your stripe design, a collection of 45 patterns for you to play with and/or recolor as you see fit. (the pattern collection alone is worth more than the price of this kit)

That’s 2 Check patterns, 20 Modern Tartan patterns, 20 Historical Tartan patterns, 2 Tattersall patterns, and 1 Windowpane pattern. We’ve also included all of these patterns saved out as PNG-24 files in each of the 4 toggle styles from the master document for easy perusal and use. You can open up your favorites, make them a pattern in Photoshop, and apply them to designs and mockups for your clients.

Yes, you read that right. While you can’t resell the included designs as digital patterns, you can use the included patterns to develop custom products for clients. They must be at least printed on physical goods. And if you do use these patterns for your clients or your own projects, we’d love to see how you use them.
