• Opaque Group (flat and round shape): solid, even, matte coverage; slight shift in tones; tiny lovely ridges; for layering, blocking in large areas of color, and creating crisp outlines.

• Semi Opaque Group (flat and round shape): depending on pressure produce a range of textures and effects, from soft and dreamy watercolor like or dry pastel like to semi-opaque creamy coverage; for creating blocky shapes, filling in large areas of color, shading and adding depth and texture.

• Semi Transparent Group (round shape): streaky and painterly look, more watercolor-like quality, with a light and delicate touch; for creating depth and dimension in artwork, as they allow the underlying layers to show through.

• Transparent Group (flat and round shape): slightly smudgy and transparent; ideal for creating soft washes of color, glazing, building up layers of texture, and subtle blending.

• Bristle Group (flat and round shape): texture and movement of traditional bristle brushes; for broad strokes or fine details; to create texture, blending, and shading, as well as for adding a painterly feel to artwork.
