Photoshop Action: How to Create the Look of a Authentic, Pencil Drawing Portrait from a Photo!
Step 1: Place the Pencil Drawing Photoshop Action into your Photoshop Actions folder.
Step 2: Open a sharp, close-up photo of someone's face.
Step 3: Make your photo 150 ppi and its Height 900 pixels. Its Width doesn't matter.
Step 4: Fit the image onto your canvas by pressing Ctrl (Cmd) + 0.
Step 5: Make sure your foreground and background colors are black and white, respectively.
Step 6: Click the Pencil Drawing Photoshop Action. Voila!

There isn't a tutorial, the rendering is a flat image, not options to work in layers to create customized end result. Meaning, if you are not happy with how it renders, you have zero options. There is a brief step by step direction provided, but no where does it state the end result is a flattened image.
