Merriloop - Bold Retro Script Font
About
Merriloop is a bold retro script font that leans into the loud, lovable energy of 60s and 70s sign painting, with rounded forms and a hand-lettered swing you can feel at first glance. Built for headlines that need personality, it brings groovy vintage character to logos, packaging, posters, and branding projects without ever looking dated.
A handwritten display font in a single Regular style with 305 glyphs, complete Basic Latin coverage (uppercase, lowercase, numerals, and punctuation), and 4 file formats (OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2) so it works everywhere your projects do.
Features
-
OpenType alternates: three stylistic sets (ss01-ss03) plus contextual alternates let you swap letterforms so every word feels hand-set, never repetitive.
-
Swashes and ligatures: built-in swash characters and ligatures add that authentic sign-painting flourish with zero extra vector work.
-
Rounded bold forms: chunky, friendly curves that hold their shape in small print and dominate at poster scale.
-
Web ready out of the box: WOFF and WOFF2 files included, so your site gets the same retro lettering as your print work.
-
Cleanly kerned: tuned spacing (GPOS kern) keeps pairs tight and even, so headlines look professional the moment you type them.
Use cases
Merriloop was drawn for logo design, signage and storefronts, product packaging and labels, menu boards, badge and emblem work, t-shirt and apparel prints, social media graphics, and poster design. If it needs to be seen from across the room, this is the font for it.
