Review from 24th of March
This brand guideline template is exactly what I need as a Brand Strategist and Visual Designer. For months, I struggled to find a brand guideline template to distinguish me as a branding professional. I required not only a visual identity guideline but also guidelines for verbal identity and marketing collateral. I also needed a template made with Adobe InDesign, the industry-standard software for print layout design. This brand guideline does everything I need and is a great starting point for brand strategists who want to streamline production. I will be adjusting page sizes for US clients and adding my own additional verbal identity pages. Thanks Nikita and the Smotrov Design team! (Elizabeth Geren)

Visually the design is pleasing [I gave it one star for that], but the InDesign execution is abysmal. I contacted the vendor directly, was given a code to get free things from their store[!], and a promise it would be updated. Two months later, a number of unanswered messages, no update has arrived. Granted, they added a total of 7 para styles, and 2 character styles after the last complaint. But they add little to the document. Each page is covered with blue highlights indicating style overrides. Double enters used to space paras, lines split with hard returns. The TOC is not an automated TOC, but comprises 124 individually placed boxes — and is the pattern for the entire document. Editing is a complete nightmare. A 73 page document should never weigh in at 233.2 MB. I've been editing it, doing para styles and removing overrides, and I've got it down to 33.4 [smaller than the supplied IDML], and I've still got so much to do. I could go on, but the review limit is 1000 characters!
My original review of the template was pretty bad, but almost immediately the designer changed the issue and added in paragraph and character styles, so that the document would be more easily modifiable for other brands. Thank you. --Ann ----------------original review This is useless. It doesn't use a single paragraph or character style. If you want to do something as simple as change the font, you have to do it manually. In a 73 page document. What a waste of money. It appears to have been created by an amateur who is not a working designer. Do not get this garbage template.
Dear Ann,
Thank you for your comment. We are so sorry that you had a bad experience with the Style Guide you purchased. It has more than 2 thousand downloads on Creative Market and our official store Smotrow Related (https://smotrowrelated.com/the-exclusive-style-guide-vol-3-73-page-guidebook-expanded/), and for all time, we haven't received any bad reviews. Many designers use this template to build a more profitable and productive practice and deliver unique projects to their clients.
Still, we always want to improve and will do our best to help you. Our team immediately made changes to the file and added a paragraph and character styles! From now, you can change the font and its size and make other changes promptly. :) Please, share your Email with us in private messages so our team can send you the updated template and a coupon for our other products.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience with paragraph styles. We made changes, and I hope it will help.
