What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. Gibrael is truly a perfect script for any project that's need delicate typeface such as custom name, greeting card, create logos, etc. A handy font for tattoo designer and artsy creative people! It's a beautiful, elegant, clean and unique typeface you need to have! Contains over 600 glyphs, it has many alternate characters so you can make a beautiful decorative type easily.

If you want to access all character, you need software that support OpenType Feature like Illustrator, indesign & CorelDraw.
For those who use a program that not support OpenType Features (Photoshop, Inkscape, Xara, etc), i provide the alternates font in TTF Format and you must install all the fonts. But if you are working with a program that support Fully OpenType Features ( Illustrator, InDesign, Corel X6), you only have to install one single font file Gibrael in OTF format, all the glyphs are in there. You can access all the alternates through the glyphs pallette.

Gibrael is coded with PUA Unicode, which allows full access to all the extra characters without having special designing software. Mac users can use Font Book , and Windows users can use Character Map to view and copy any of the extra characters to paste into your favourite text editor/app.

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
