About Creative Market Fonts

Fonts are at the heart of Creative Market. Here you’ll find more than %totalResults% typefaces, each created by independent artists from around the world. Why do fonts matter? We believe that fonts have the capacity to tell a story, communicate ideas , stir emotion , and express intent. When you choose a font you’re not just choosing letters on a screen, you’re choosing from thousands of voices, styles, moods, and perspectives. Our catalog covers a wide stylistic range. Need a retro pixel vibe for your throwback design? Maybe you found our site looking for a sleek variable font to adapt seamlessly across devices. Perhaps a display font for your new site header? Whatever it is, we’ve got you covered. Our library includes everything from expressive scripts to no-nonsense monospaced families. We pride ourselves on unique, thoughtful design of every kind, which is how we’ve become the go-to destination for unique font families. If you aren’t sure where to start, check out some of our handpicked curated finds or best sellers .

What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. However, this is a nuanced topic - with a rich history, a range of opinions, and many different approaches. For a more detailed breakdown, check out our blog on different font styles here .

What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. For a fuller, more nuanced take (or if you just want to nerd out) you can check out a whole article about this topic here: What is a Typeface and How Is it Different from a Font?

What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. Our e-pub licenses are best for ebooks and digital magazines - where you would want to embed the fonts directly into your files. Here’s a helpful walk through on font use in e-books! Creative Market also offers Worry-Free font licensing for enterprise clients. Learn more about our enterprise business offerings here . Still have questions about our licenses? Get more information about all of our font licenses here . You can also chat with our licensing assistant, Creative Mark, who can help answer questions. You can knock on his door in the bottom right corner of your desktop screen.

About

Cool Brush PTX — Energetic Handwritten Brush Font

Cool Brush PTX is an energetic handwritten brush font created by Portuguese type designer Pedro Teixeira. Inspired by fast brush lettering and spontaneous hand-painted signs, it brings movement, personality and a strong human character to bold creative work.

Ideal for logos, branding, headlines, posters, apparel, packaging, album covers, advertising, social media graphics, sports design and custom lettering, Cool Brush PTX is especially effective when typography needs to become a key visual element.

Designed for Custom Lettering

Behind its spontaneous brush appearance, Cool Brush PTX is built with precise and disciplined vector construction.

Nearly all smooth nodes feature carefully aligned horizontal, vertical or diagonal Bézier handles, creating cleaner curves and more predictable outlines.

This structured geometry gives designers greater control after converting text to vector paths. Letterforms can be adjusted, combined and refined more efficiently when creating:

Logos and wordmarks
Custom typography
Lettering compositions
Logotypes
Brand identities
Packaging titles
Advertising headlines
Apparel and merchandise graphics

Cool Brush PTX combines the expressive energy of hand-painted lettering with an underlying vector structure designed for professional creative workflows.

Perfect For

Logos • Branding • Wordmarks • Posters • Advertising • Packaging • Apparel • Streetwear • Sports Graphics • Album Covers • Social Media • Editorial Design • Signage • Custom Lettering

Design Tip

Use Cool Brush PTX for short, prominent text such as names, slogans, titles and headlines. Pair it with a clean sans serif for supporting information to create a strong typographic contrast.

For customised logo or lettering work, convert your text to vector outlines in compatible design software and refine the individual letterforms while keeping an editable text version of your original composition.
