CREATING HAND-CARVED DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS

White River Studio linocut illustrations begin with a drawing on a linoleum carving block. The image is hand-carved using traditional linocut tools in my studio. I use non-toxic water-soluble inks for printing. The print is then scanned to create a digital file. Once the image is digitized it is enhanced using Photoshop and Illustrator. My goal is to maintain the unique, handmade character of the linocut in my digital illustrations. I always include transparent background PNG files as well as Illustrator 10 EPS vector files.

THIS SET INCLUDES • 45 Adobe Illustrator 10 EPS illustrations (vector) • 45 PNG files with transparent backgrounds (6”x6” at 400 dpi) • 2 complete cabinet illustrations plus a logo (eps and png)

Digital files are high-resolution (600 dpi). Illustrator 10 EPS vector files are also included to allow for enlarging and customization.
