Jagera - Handwritten Typeface

Jagera is a rugged, expressive display typeface built around a strong handmade character, distressed textures, and unconventional visual details. Its bold personality combines the structure of a contemporary display face with aged, hazy, and rough treatments, making it particularly effective when typography needs to feel raw, atmospheric, and distinctive.

Designed primarily for headlines, titles, posters, branding, packaging, editorial graphics, album artwork, and other display applications, Jagera has a naturally attention-grabbing presence. Its Regular style provides the core design, while the additional variations allow designers to move between clean display typography and more weathered, experimental treatments.

The family contains 10 styles, including Regular, Italic, Aged, Aged Italic, Hazy, Hazy Italic, Outline, Outline Italic, Rough, and Rough Italic. This combination provides several different visual directions within one cohesive family. The Aged styles introduce a worn and vintage character, Hazy styles create a softer and atmospheric impression, while Rough styles emphasize a more distressed and handmade appearance. Outline versions offer a lighter, more graphic alternative for layered compositions, posters, logos, and decorative typography.

Jagera supports Latin and Cyrillic scripts across 205 languages, making it suitable for multilingual design projects and international branding. Its 547 glyphs provide extensive character coverage while maintaining the distinctive personality of the typeface.

The family includes several professional OpenType features. Localized forms automatically adapt selected characters for languages including Azerbaijani, Crimean Tatar, Kazakh, Tatar, Turkish, Romanian, Moldovan, Marshallese, and Dutch. Cyrillic localized forms are also provided for Bulgarian and Serbian typography. These substitutions help maintain appropriate character forms across supported languages without requiring manual intervention.

Jagera also includes superior and inferior figures, allowing numbers to be positioned for compact typographic compositions, as well as fraction support for professional numerical typography. The ordinal feature provides a dedicated Nº form, while character-composition features improve the behavior of accented letters and combining marks.
