Blot Sound - Messy Ink Script Font
About
Blot Sound is a messy ink handwritten script with a calm hand and a loud surface.
The letters are quiet. They lean forward at an even slant and move at an unhurried pace, with relaxed capitals and a steady rhythm, like handwriting from someone who is in no rush. The surface is the opposite. Every stroke is broken up by coarse, blotted texture with torn edges and scattered specks, as if the words were pressed into rough paper and left to age.
That contrast is the whole idea. The shapes stay easy to follow, and the texture gives the text weight, grain and a sense of history. A blot is a mistake that refuses to be quiet, and this font keeps that spirit.

A note on sizing.
Blot Sound is at its best at medium and large sizes, where the texture has room to show. For short headings, titles and display lines, set it big. Pair it with a clean serif or a quiet sans serif for supporting text, and let the empty space around it do some of the work.
