Grily – Retro Serif Display Font
About
Grily is a bold, rounded retro display typeface with chunky curves and a warm, groovy character reminiscent of vinyl record sleeves and 70s music culture. Its thick strokes and soft, playful terminals give every word an instant retro punch without feeling heavy or hard to read.
The letterforms lean into confident roundness — full-bodied bowls, generous curves, and a rhythm that feels handcrafted rather than mechanical. This makes Grily especially effective for short, punchy headlines and wordmarks where personality matters more than dense text.
Grily is a great fit for music and album branding, retro posters, vinyl and merch packaging, café and bar signage, apparel graphics, podcast covers, and any nostalgic lifestyle brand looking for a warm, groovy voice. Its vintage charm also works well for 70s-themed events, throwback social campaigns, and playful logo design.
Bold, round, and full of personality — Grily brings the warmth of vintage sound culture into modern typography.
Grily — a bold retro display typeface with a groovy, vintage soul.
