Egiga – Retro Sci-Fi Display Font
About
Egiga is a bold retro sci-fi display typeface built on a squared, heavyweight structure. Rounded outer corners soften the blocky forms, while small notches at the stroke joins and sharp diagonal cuts on letters like A, M, V, and W give every word a distinctive, engineered character.
The typeface includes a complete set of uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, punctuation, and multilingual support for accented Latin characters. It also features 13 custom-drawn uppercase ligatures (FH, HT, LA, LE, LH, LL, LO, LU, TA, TE, TH, TO, and TU) that nest letters together into compact, interlocking shapes. Type a word like TELLTALE in capitals and four ligatures activate automatically, adding crafted detail to titles and wordmarks without any manual adjustment.
Egiga is a strong fit for gaming and esports branding, sci-fi and space-themed posters, tech and industrial logos, music and festival artwork, streetwear graphics, racing and automotive branding, and bold headlines. Its retro-futuristic personality recalls 70s and 80s sci-fi without feeling dated.
Heavy, geometric, and full of detail — Egiga brings a retro sci-fi punch to modern typography.
Egiga — a chunky retro sci-fi display font with custom ligatures.
