I think I’ve made it clear at this point that working for “exposure” is usually a bad idea, but it never stops me from making bad decisions. Just the other day I designed a logo for a client and when I presented him with the bill, he says, “I thought it would be, like $60.” Needless to say, he hasn’t paid up yet.
I’ve got another friend who says to me, “Have you heard of Fiverr?” My eyes almost instantly start rolling into the back of my head even before he starts with, “Unlimited revisions for super cheap. Man, that service is awesome.” So is it surprising that someone has taken all of those frustrating customers and turned them into a cool Twitter feed? No, no it’s not. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t think of it first.
@forexposure_txt is that feed, and man, is it great. It’s not always PG, so be forewarned, but it’s always great, and maybe even touches a bit too close to home for some of you (I know it does for me). It’s also not always writer or designer specific, but again, there’s always gold in there. That’s why I gathered some of my favorites and put them right here for you to enjoy. Have fun!
