Happy Friday! You may have noticed that today is Friday the 13th. A day with superstitious roots that can be traced back hundreds of years and also a day that has firmly planted itself within our popular culture. One such manifestation just happens to be one of the longest running horror series in the history of film.
Oh yeah, I’m talking about the Friday the 13th series and our buddy Jason Voorhees. Over the course of 10 sequels, a TV series, and one reboot, Jason’s journey has taken him from Camp Crystal Lake to Manhattan, space, and even our nightmares. Despite the fact that most of the films are not particularly good, Jason is a menacing figure people will not soon forget. As a result, many artists out there have taken a stab (couldn’t resist) at interpreting this horrific masked icon.
Here’s just a few (13 to be exact) illustrations we found of Mr. Friday the 13th himself.
