While I am partly to blame for not understanding the impact the template specs would have, it is still very disappointing that a product so thoroughly out of date is still being sold here. The blog template has not been updated to make use of Blogger's newer dashboard features that have been in place for a long time now. The template requires all changes to be made in the background code only, absolutely no edits can be made with Blogger's easy to use customize panel, so customizing would take considerably longer and with more frustration. It's a beautiful design and layout to look at but the reliance on only html gadgets and outdated coding likely creates a much slower loading page. It works, but only just. I reached out to the designer but did not hear back. Ultimately this was a complete waste of time.
