What software do I need to use this product?

Any software that supports .PNG files will open these textures. Some examples are Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. PNG files are also placeable into Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Because of the very high resolution of these textures, I recommend using them in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

What software do I need to use the Bonus Content included in this product?

Bonus content – namely, 10 grommets, 2 rows of mousemade stitches, and a leather tooling effect – is presented in a .psd file. You'll need Adobe Photoshop to use this file. Unfortunately, this .psd is not compatible in Photoshop Elements.

How do I use the Bonus content?

Leather Tooling Effect The Leather Tooling Effect is applied as a layer style to several layers in the Bonus Content file. Simply right click on the layer with the effect applied and choose “Copy Layer Style.” You can now apply this effect to an object of your choice by right clicking on the second layer and choosing “Paste Layer Style.” You can also create a layer style by choosing “Create New Style” on the style palette. Stitches Simply drag the stitches (using the Select Tool) to a document of your choice. The stitches have an indented effect, which can be edited by accessing the stitches' layer styles. The stitches' color can be changed using Photoshop adjustment layers (this is illustrated in one instance in the Bonus Content file.) If you're interested in customizable stitching brushes, check out The Stitching Set: http://crtv.mk/hPIa. These are Illustrator brushes that can be applied along simple shapes. Grommets Each grommet is made up of a group of layers in the Photoshop file. Simply drag the entire group (Labeled with a descriptive grommet color, e.g. “Antique Warm Silver”) to a file of your choice. Keep these layers grouped for best results. Help! I am getting an error message while trying open PNG files!

f you get an error message that the PNG file is "corrupt" or "outdated" or having a "parsing" error, please try one of these solutions, and you should be back up and running in no time: • http://youtu.be/JpH3N8PIP4Y - open the file in Preview (Mac) or Paint (PC) and save as a PNG (name it something different) • Open up the file as a Smart Object • Create a new document and do a File > Place

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.
