What are the different types of fonts?

While there are many ways to differentiate fonts, the main different categories to start with are serif, sans serif, script, blackletter, display/decorative, and non-Western. What is the difference between a font and a typeface?

The difference between a font and a typeface is that a typeface refers to the overall design, while a font is a specific style, size, or weight within that typeface. This is a bit confusing on its face - we think it’s a bit easier to reference an example. So if “Neue Swiss” is your typeface, "Neue Swiss Bold 12pt" might be your font. Of course, as you’ll find with anything in this wonderful world of fonts, nothing is so simple. What Font License is Right for Me?

A desktop license is the most common license and covers most commercial font usage. You can create graphic designs (logos, signs, etc.) and products (mugs, t-shirts, hats, etc.) for yourself, or your client(s). These are great for logos and branding, movie titles and captions, PDFs, cards, signs and print merchandise. Products may be sold for profit as long as the letters are not the main selling point of your product (like a house number or stamp set). Embedding fonts is not allowed with this license with a few exceptions (such as a PDF reports). All licenses on our site are perpetual, which means you pay once and use it forever. To use a font on your website, you’ll need a web font license. This type of license allows you to embed font files into the CSS code on your site. From there, site visitors can then see and temporarily use your embedded fonts! Web licenses on Creative Market are priced by pageview limits (essentially this means they are priced according to traffic). Beyond the web, we’ve also got you covered for apps and publications. Our app licenses allow you to embed font files in app code. These are best for things like games, mobile apps, and web apps. Misopen is a handwriting script font with a unique, casual and beautiful style. Misopen was made using a calligraphy pen with a fine nib. The process of making this font by writing a lot of sample letters and trying to make it connect naturally or using the OpenType feature called "ligature".

Misopen works really well with sans serif or serif fonts. On this occasion, I tried to juxtapose it with my latest font "Brobrq" and the results are good. You can see the results on the poster.

Brobrq is a condensed sans serif with modern style. Brobrq is my upcoming font and will have 4 weight that is light, reguler, bold, and black. Stay tuned to get the info.

Rockyeah Sans is allcaps geometric sans serif that focuses on legible, clean and useful for any project. This sans is an interpretation of Rockyeah Serif with the same caps height and bold stroke.

Misopen, Brobrq & Rockyeah Sans support multilingual & OpenType features, that can allow you to choose a character that you like and suitable for the project you're working on.

Each letters of this font trio was made with love and designed to work well on the design like invitation, wedding, signature, clothing, photography, branding, album covers and etc. Just try it yourself :)

How can I unzip product files?

PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.

How do I install a font?

After you unzip your font product files, you will see .OTF or .TTF files. To install a font, just double click on the OTF or TTF file. For more information, check out our Font FAQ.

What software do I need to use this font?

When a font is installed on your computer, it can be used with any program that allows you to create text. Fonts will work in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and almost any other program with a text editor.
