Micro A-Frame Cabin Plans

A printable PDF plan for our super simple and affordable, Dwell-featured, tiny A-frame cabin—perfect for creating your retreat, backyard Accessory Dwelling Unit, home office, campsite rental hut, or even a kids' play structure.

Designed to be built in a couple weekends, this cabin is just under 120 square feet, meaning no permit is required in most areas. The plans prioritize efficiency and readily available materials and are beginner-friendly, with no roof panel cuts and minimal plywood trimming.

Ours is perched in the trees, but your build doesn’t have to be. The plans include details for various backyard foundations (gravel, paving stones, etc.), along with instructions for constructing in the trees if you’re feeling adventurous. Plus, there's room for a tiny wood stove on either side of the door.

SIZE: 118 sq ft. Footprint measures approximately 10x12 ft. Total height is 10.5 ft.
