Kago typeface
About
Kago is a modern, high-contrast Display Serif typeface designed for maximum visual impact and immediate attention. It boldly fuses the timeless structure of classic Old Style typography with sharp, contemporary geometric edges and unexpected, playful flourishes. Kago is a statement font, characterized by its dramatic thick-and-thin stroke variation and its unique, strong serifs.
Key Features & Design Philosophy:
High Contrast & Drama: The extreme difference between the thick vertical stems and the thin horizontal strokes gives Kago a sense of luxury, power, and high readability at large sizes.
Distinctive Serifs: Kago features robust, confident serifs and subtle, unconventional terminals (like the curved hook on the 'G' or the base of the 'W'), injecting a fresh, unique personality into the classic serif form.
Two Core Weights: The family includes the foundational Regular weight for solid, impactful headlines, and the dynamic Italic weight, which offers an added sense of movement and flair while maintaining the font’s inherent boldness.
Display Focus: Optimized for use in large settings, Kago is perfect for brand identity, editorial titles, movie posters, luxury product packaging, album art, and any design project that demands a distinct and memorable voice.
Kago is more than just a font; it is visual energy. Use it to inject good momentum and make your designs contagious.
