About

Beautiful set of high resolution images of the native New Zealand plant Harakeke. Well suited as background textures on presentations, websites, instagram posts or even could serve as part of a brand imagery library

This purchase includes:

28 high res JPG files
6000 × 4000 px
300dpi

The harakeke plant (Phormium tenax) is an ever-green perennial plant native to New Zealand and Norfolk Island that is an important fibre plant and a popular ornamental plant. In the māori culture it is one of the most utilised plants and is considered sacred. It represents the whānau (family) and whanaungatanga (relationships). The rito (shoot) is the child. It is protectively surrounded
by the awhi rito (parents). The outside leaves represent the tūpuna (grandparents and ancestors).

These images would be great for māori businesses/entities wanting to represent the following concepts/values: (whanau) family, (whanaungatanga) relationships, (hononga) connection and (whakapapa) geneology. (please note: We do not condone cultural appropriation, the images by themselves are not directly māori however using the above rationale paired with the imagery without being māori based would be classed as cultural appropriation therefore we do not suggest non-māori businesses use these images paired with the rationale for this reason)

14 photos total, 14 with grain and 14 without grain which makes up 28 images

Plug into your adobe files or drop them into canva.
