Please note you'll need Photoshop CS2 or higher for the Sweater Effect Pro. For the bonus effects, you need Photoshop CS4 or higher.
Looking to make a clever and unique graphic for the holidays? Sweater Effect Pro is the solution! This set of Photoshop actions will take your graphic, and quickly convert it to a knitted sweater look. The actions work with simple black and white artwork, full color graphics and even pixel art. Also included are a ton of extra patterns and elements that are easy to drag and drop into your project. Looking for an even faster option? We have a few pre-made templates ready to go as well. With all the graphics, you have full control and have lots of customization options. Included are full video instructions and a PDF tutorial to get you up and running as fast as possible.
NOTE: In the spirit of the holidays, I've decided to include 3 other products for free that complement this set of actions.
5 Photoshop Actions:
- Black on White BG - This action takes your graphic and 'knits' anything that's black, while removing the white areas.
- Black on Transparent BG - This converts any artwork on a transparent background. This is a great option when you have single elements you want to quickly convert and work into your project.
- Color on Transparent BG - This is great for logos and graphics. It will allow you to simplify the colorways of your graphic and then convert everything over.
- Pixel Black on White - Some artists like 100% control over the pixelization rather than letting the computer make any assumptions with your work. This will take your pixel graphic, and covert each pixel to a 'knit'. Anything in black is 'knitted' and anything white is removed.
- Pixel Color on Transparent BG - Similar to the action above, but optimized for color images.
Elements and Patterns:
- 28 Elements - Reindeer, trees, snowflakes and more.
- 20 Patterns - Repeating patterns.
- Alphabet - Two sets of A-Z characters. Optimized for legibility.
- Templates - Two starter templates for quick projects.

FAQ:
What software will I need? You'll need Photoshop CS2 or higher for the Sweater Effect Pro. For the bonus effects, you need Photoshop CS4 or higher.
What fonts did you use in the sample images? I used Mystic, which is included in your purchase as a bonus. I also used Amplify in one of the sample images which is available at dafont.com (free for personal use).

Took me a tiny learning curve to understand the 40px, 60px, and 120px variants including the displacement settings (photoshop originally wouldn't show the displace dialogue but a quick restart solved this issue). But once I was up and running, the design and final product was well worth the purchase. Planning on creating a series of images (skier through trees?) to animate next year, looking forward.
I downloaded two different PSD Add-Ons to create the Christmas Sweater Effect for a Christmas card. The first one was very simple and the result ok, but not quite it. With Greg Nicholls' set of actions, after watching the linked Youtube-Video attentively and experimenting a little bit, I achieved exactly the look I was going for. When production began, the printshop found that the dark meshes were somewhat lost against the dark background. Thanks to a separate layer called Background Knit Effect, which is automatically created during the application of the action, I was able to correct this within minutes. The card is received very well. I am happy to have chosen this product, and can only recommend it.
First of all, I saw the review from the 1-star rating, and I was immediately skeptical (of the review, not of the PS Action). Based on the file's presentation here on Creative Market, it seemed like a pretty easy action to use. So I bit the bullet and gave it a shot. Within the download is a link to a YouTube instructional video, and after following along with the instructions, I was able to create numerous cross-stitch beauties, both single and multi-color. I definitely have ideas for holiday-themed designs that I'd like to use this on, and I couldn't be happier with the results, especially for the price. Let me reiterate: If you follow along with the very easy-to-follow instructions that he provides, your text or images should turn out EXACTLY as advertised. Well done!! EDIT: I'd love to be able to provide screenshots of the files I created. I did a simple text-based image, a sasquatch outline, and a full-color BB-8 wearing a Santa hat (and that last one turned out BEAUTIFUL).

- How can I unzip product files?
PC: To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract the entire contents of the compressed folder, right-click the folder, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
Mac: Double click the .zip file, then search for the product folder or product file.
